In preparation for the band taking part in the Canterbury Provincial Brass Band Contest on 23rd-24th September we performed a concert on our home patch on 10th September to fine tune our repertoire for the contest.

In addition to our contest programme we also played a couple of pieces with our piper Gregory, and were treated to a performance by Gregory’s Irish band, Malarkey.

Part of our performance included a rendition of Singin in the Rain, for which we were joined by 10 year old Evie Spain who both sang the first verse of the song and then dazzled everyone with her tap dancing.
